Welcoming Services
PNM specializes in supporting you and your group with the kind of hospitality you deserve. From the
earliest phases of planning to the final wave of the last straggler to depart, we meet your needs and
requirements with cheerful professionalism and every courtesy you should expect.
PRE-ARRIVAL ASSISTANCE
There are many ways we assist you and your guests before the first day you arrive.
Once we receive arrival and departure information, we create a ground transfer manifest. We will
submit this manifest to you for review and approval, and upon approval will provide a copy to the hotel.
This will allow the hotel to be properly and adequately staffed. We provide updated manifests to you and
to the hotel as changes occur that affect the manifest.
We can assist you in preparing your guests for their visit to Santa Fe by providing information cards
which you can send to them in advance. Information cards can cover such topics as how to pack for
Santa Fe, preparing for the high altitude, and driving directions to the hotel.
AMENITIES AND GIFT IDEAS
We work with local vendors to create amenity items that are related to your group as well as fun. Among
these are our "Survival Kits," theme baskets, pillow gifts, and treasure boxes - the list is endless, and is
limited only by imagination.
AIRPORT TRANSFERS
The Meet-and-Greet services we provide at area airports assist in setting the tone and level of overall
satisfaction guests have with their conference or incentive program.
Some planners, or their clients, have expressed concern about the distance between the airport and
their destination hotel. Visitors to New Mexico are not disenchanted by the transfer distance. In fact,
most guests are not even aware of the transfer time as they enjoy the ride through some of the most
beautiful landscapes in the country.
On departure day, having staff at the hotel to handle vehicle dispatch and luggage identification adds a
high degree of assurance to the guests as they gather to leave.
Most importantly, pampering your guests should not end as they depart the hotel. Staff waiting at the
airport with skycaps to assist with baggage check-in adds something special to the overall experience.

Events and Entertainment
New Mexico, the "Land of Enchantment," provides a setting unlike anywhere else in the world. Its scenic
richness and diversity and its multicultural environment offer almost limitless possibilities in which we can
create unique and exciting events for your group.
ENTERTAINMENT OPTIONS
We're a far cry from selecting entertainment for an opening reception, a dinner event, or a theme
party, but here are just a few suggestions:
- A Spanish classical guitartist would lend an exciting taste to the evening with the mastery of
traditional Flamenco and classical Spanish music. Depending on the size of the room, and the
number of people attending the reception, the music can be totally acoustic or electronically
amplified.
- Always enjoyable is a pianist/keyboardist who can play everything from jazz to pop, from
Broadway to standards, from classical to original compositions. If desired, a keyboardist could be
engaged who also can sing for a little diversion during the evening.
- Guests would be enchanted by the soft, clear sounds of a wood flute, played by a Native
American flutist. Historically used as part of courtship, the flute has now become a beautiful form
of musical expression, and its etheric tones and the haunting quality of the music will fill the room
with a sense of peace and well-being.
- Mariachis have been an integral part of the history of New Mexico, and their bright performance
and songs enliven any party or gathering. A Mariachi trio would be an excellent addition to an
evening event. They could greet the guests as they arrive, wander among the guests while
playing, and perhaps, if your group is having dinner in a nearby restaurant, escort them to their
dinner.
- End an evening with a performance by a Flamenco troupe. This Spanish dance form finds its roots
around the fires of the gypsy camps in the Pyrenees Mountains. It later became a high
performance art, and still excites with the sounds of castanets, the click of heels, and trilling
guitars.
- Other entertainment might include jazz bands and combos, classical ensembles and dance bands,
cowboy poets and singers, country/western bands, Native American dance troupes . . . to name
just a few.
- Already have a "name" entertainer in mind? We'll book the program for you - and create
surroundings that will make the performance a memorable one.
DECOR
There are many ways to enhance evening functions, including dressing the room with specialty linen,
and/or theme props and decor. We will design ideas appropriate to the location and menu.
ON-SITE THEME EVENTS
Let your imagination run wild! We'll transform your hotel into the site of an exciting and fun-filled theme
event. Anything is possible, from UFOs to Sock Hops, from Broadway to opera, old-fashioned to
avant-garde. We are only limited by our imaginations.
OFF-SITE DINNER VENUES
There are a vast number of venues available for an off-site dinner, and we can assist you in determining
which will be appropriate to the group's size and areas of interest, and, most importantly, the budget.
Among the off-site venues are:
- MUSEUMS
There are four museums that lend themselves to off-site parties. The Museum of Indian Arts and
Culture is a great location to highlight the Native American Culture; the Museum of International
Folk Art delights the eye; the Palace of the Governors offers a panoply of the three cultures that
make up the City Different; and the Museum of Fine Arts, built in 1917, set the architectural
standard for Santa Fe. For a really off-beat museum experience, the Children's Museum is
available, and your guests can step back in time to enjoy a simpler time in their lives.
- COCKTAIL RECEPTION . . . DINNER AT A LOCAL GALLERY
Your guests will feel they have become part of the Santa Fe art scene when they enjoy cocktails
and dinner in a world-renowned art gallery, surrounded by superb artwork. There are many,
many galleries along Canyon Road and throughout Downtown Santa Fe, and it just takes a
moment to determine which gallery is the right size, exhibits art of interest to the group and
offers the ambiance that will make this a most memorable evening.
- PRIVATE HOMES
Enjoy cocktails and a sumptuous dinner in a private residence. Experience the beauty and luxury
that lie behind the adobe walls that surround the estate. Or be hosted by a famous artist whose
home becomes the site for your group's special evening in Santa Fe.
- NATIVE AMERICAN FEAST
Choose an evening filled with entertainment by Native American musicians and dancers,
enhanced by a gourmet dinner created from ingredients found in the Americas prior to the
advent of Western society.
- MEXICAN TRADITIONS
Step back in time to the 18th Century and experience cocktails and dinner amid the restored
site of one of the original stops along the Camino Real.
- MOVIE RANCH EXTRAVAGANZA
The Old West comes alive as your guests enjoy cocktails and dinner and wander through the
streets and buildings on the set of some of America's best known and beloved western movies.

Tours and Activities So, now that we've fed them, what will they do during the day?
- GOLF
Golf is available at courses designed by Robert Trent Jones and Baxter Spann. Championship
courses are available in Albuquerque, and several new courses are currently under construction.
All our courses present golfers with enough challenges to make them happy, and enough scenery
to make them experience awe!
- SPA SERVICES
We have several in-town spas, and Ten Thousand Waves is just 3 1/2 miles from the center of
Santa Fe. Offering facials, manicures, pedicures, massages, hot tubs, saunas and more,
everyone's spa wish can be fulfilled.
- FLY FISHING
Fly fishing is available in nearby lakes, streams and rivers. This is usually best scheduled as a five-
or six-hour activity, and we can discuss how to make it viable.
- TENNIS
Several tennis and racquet clubs make their facilities available to out-of-town guests for outdoor
and indoor tennis.
- 4 X 4 NEW MEXICO STYLE
The greatest variety of scenery and life zones anywhere in the country allows guests to view
and learn about the varied geological make-up of New Mexico. Trips can be developed into
team-building scavenger hunts. Or a Northern New Mexico photo safari can be designed where
guests learn about what they're photographing, while award-winning photographers teach them
how to photograph it. Or guests can experience a more laid-back on- and off-road tour through
our beautiful countryside.
- OTHER ADVENTURE ACTIVITIES
Hot air ballooning, soaring, private plane rides, white-water rafting and horseback riding are all
accessible to the adventuresome, as are guided mountain biking and hiking excursions.
Some tours and activities on the tamer side:
- HISTORICAL WALKING OR TRAM TOUR OF SANTA FE
A wonderful way to see the "City Different," and to learn about its 400 years of Western culture
and history, and over 1000 years of Native American heritage. Visits to major historic landmarks
are enhanced by the facts and fiction, lies and legends shared by the guides.
- HISPANIC CULTURE
Visit Chimayo Valley to learn why the Santuario de Chimayo is called the "Lourdes of the
Southwest." Hear stories of the miraculously healed. Visit weavers and artisans who have
revived the techniques of their Spanish ancestors. Travel the "High Road" and visit mountain
villages tucked into the beautiful Sangre de Cristo Mountains.
- NATIVE AMERICAN RUIN SITES and MODERN PUEBLOS
Tour Puye Cliffs, Bandelier National Monument, or Pecos National Historical Park, all of which
offer fascinating and different looks into the ancient lives of the Native American. Puye Cliffs, on
the Santa Clara Pueblo Reservation, is adorned with structures built directly into the cliff side;
Bandelier National Monument on the Pajarito Plateau abounds with caves of an earlier period
carved into the soft volcanic tufa; and Pecos National Historic Park is one of New Mexico's oldest
and most interesting Pueblo ruins, alongside the ruins of an old Spanish Mission. A trip to Taos
combines the historic with the modern. Taos Pueblo has been continuously inhabited for over
1000 years, and many Pueblo inhabitants elect to live in the Pueblo structures without running
water, indoor plumbing or electricity. The trip to Taos also offers spectacular scenic drives and
opportunities to visit galleries and shops on the Taos Plaza.
- COOKING CLASSES
Renowned chefs demonstrate and discuss the preparation and flavors of New Mexico's distinct
cuisine. Then sit down and savor those very dishes - a gastronomic delight! Or a hands on class
can be developed at which the guests prepare their own meal. A great evening event - lots of
laughs, lots of fun, and lots of great food!
- ART, HISTORY AND ARCHITECTURE
The Museum of Fine Arts and the Georgia O'Keeffe Museum await; travel to Museum Hill and
explore spectacular exhibits of international folk art and Native American artifacts; visit
beautiful homes and gardens. Tours of working artists' studios can be combined with stops at
galleries along Santa Fe's famous Canyon Road. Create an art event at an artist's studio and learn
to paint or make a pot.
- SHOPPING SANTA FE
Santa Fe's shopping secrets will be shared, and then the most fervent can "shop 'til they drop!"
The Santa Fe style from Fasions of Santa Fe is renowned for its textures, colors and wearability.
Ladies can enjoy a brunch or lunch as these unique, often one-of-a-kind, and timeless fashions
are modeled. Your guests have an opportunity to create their own version of Santa Fe Style.
This has been just a sampling of the almost limitless possibilities that are available. We'll be happy to help
you develop an itinerary that will be perfect for your group!
